Hiring: True HR Manager | Lead Change to 4-Day Workweek

YOUR FIRST MAJOR TASK


Plan and implement the firm-wide transition to a 4-day workweek using True HR.

We don’t just want ideas. We need structure, alignment, and execution. If that excites you, read on.


We are looking for an HR Manager who’s ready to lead real transformation, not just coordinate day-to-day operations.

You will work side by side with the firm’s partners, take full ownership of your team and processes, and shape the way we manage people — both inside our firm and for our clients.

This is a role for someone who knows how to rebuild, structure, and energise.


WHAT YOUR FIRST MONTH WILL LOOK LIKE


Week 1 – Understand & Map

  • Discuss with the HR team and accounting coordinators

  • Assess current workflows and collaboration habits

  • Get comfortable with your own personal portfolio of clients

  • Identify what’s missing and what’s blocking

  • Map internal HR documentation and visibility gaps

  • End-of-week-test-#-1: one of the experts is a freerider. Identify and fire, while maintaining business continuity


Week 2 – Set Structure & Standards

  • Establish clear rules of engagement and communication

  • Prepare the transition plan from SAGA to True HR

  • Start managing the ticketing system for HR tasks

  • Start managing your own personal portfolio of clients (~300 employees) for day-to-day payroll operations

  • Start pushing daily HR content into the Piroi | Business in Romania mobile app App Store

  • End-of-week-test-#-2: all personnel files for internal staff are digitised and easily accessible


Week 3 – Act & Align

  • Start implementation of Reges Online for all clients

  • Continue managing your own personal portfolio of clients for day-to-day payroll operations

  • Define the roadmap for transition to a 4-day workweek

  • End-of-week-test-#-3: Reges Online fully active for all internal staff


Week 4 – Present & Lead

  • Present your roadmap and key decisions to the firm’s partners

  • Run your first HR team alignment session

  • Begin structural change with full ownership

  • Fully manage your own personal portfolio of clients for day-to-day payroll operations

  • End-of-week-test-#-4: Leadership style accepted by the team, vision followed


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


Internal Responsibilities (within the firm):

  • Manage and develop the internal HR team (4 colleagues), an IT Expert and a Front Office Expert

  • Support the wellbeing, clarity, and cohesion of the entire internal team (30 professionals)

  • Create a culture of ownership and responsiveness — not avoidance

  • Improve cross-department workflows (especially HR–Accounting)

  • Manage the shared ticketing system for HR support

  • Drive adoption of collaborative tools

  • Maintain, audit, and fully digitise personnel files for all internal staff — you own their accuracy, completeness, and accessibility (digital-first, no paper-only records)


External Responsibilities (for client companies):

  • Handle your own portfolio of client companies (~300 employees)

  • Deliver complete HR services: contracts, personnel files, payroll coordination, compliance, inspections

  • Actively increase revenue by identifying and promoting HR services tailored to each client’s needs

  • Deliver consistent and useful HR content via the mobile app Piroi | my Business in Romania® | App Store


REQUIREMENTS


To be considered, you must meet the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of HR Management experience, ideally in an accounting, consulting or legal firm

  • Fluent in both Romanian and English (mandatory – written and spoken)

  • Strong working knowledge of Romanian labour law

  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with payroll operations and employment contract administration

  • Confident communicator with real initiative and professional presence

  • Not just strategic: operationally involved and execution-driven

  • Expert user of collaborative tools (True HR, Google Workspace Enterprise)

  • Comfortable leading change and challenging inertia

  • Membership in CIPD / CECCAR / CCF / CAFR / ACCA / CFA – a plus

We are not looking for a generalist HRBP or a recruitment-only background. This is an operational role — you will personally manage payroll workflows and employment contract administration for ~300 client employees, as well as oversee the firm’s internal HR systems and digital transformation.
